AI can now create realistic fake videos, audio, and images of real people. These "deepfakes" are increasingly used in scams, including calls that sound exactly like a grandchild asking for money. Red flags include: unexpected urgency, requests for secrecy, unusual payment methods, and anything that asks you to act before thinking. When in doubt, hang up and call the person directly on a number you already have. Verify before you trust.
