The Art of Rest

Retirement is not endless vacation. But it can include real rest.

Many faith traditions teach that rest is not laziness; it is obedience. Sabbath, Shabbat, or simply intentional rest is a practice of stepping back and trusting that the world will keep turning without your effort. In retirement, this can feel strange because every day could be a day off. The paradox is that without intentional rest, retirement can become surprisingly exhausting. Build rest into your week on purpose.
